My house has been struck every year for the past 4 years... lets hope this year is an exception.

Luckily the only thing i have ever lost is the complex intercom system(four times...) and an extractor fan(once).

Normally the earth leakage just trips and i go put it back up and everythings fine, have never had surge or lightning arrestors installed (now with my new solar install i do on the AC and DC side)

It still amazes me how nothing significant has ever been damaged (Computers, Televisions have all been fine).

I am though quite paranoid that one lightning strike is going to nuke my entire solar system.
