Deye 5Kw - Data Logger config

Featured Replies

I have a Deye 5KW hybrid inverter, it came with a wifi data stick in the box.

I connect to it via the solarman.cn web interface.

Currently it writes a line every 10 min or so,

Is there a way to reduce the frequency of these?

Alternatively what other tools are available to me to review this date.

Currently I dump it all into Excel and load it into a home made PowerBI dashboard....

any help would be awesome.

Have a look at Solar Assistant at https://solar-assistant.io/

I have it working on my Deye 5kw and it was one of the best investments I made. You can view data in real time (2sec delay). Has helped immensely in optimising my setup as you can also make inverter changes remotely.

I do not believe there is a way to reduce this interval...

I also use Solar Assistant and thaT gives me to the minite realtime data. Also integrates well with HomeAssistant for your automations etc. If you have a space RasPi 3 and above lying around you can just get the software. If you dont you can buy a preconfigured kit

You can e-mail Solarman client service ([email protected]) and ask them to increase the data logging frequency, and just give them the data logger serial number.  For 2 separate inverters I have e-mailed them and asked the data logging frequency to be increased to log data every 1 minute, and they have changed it to log every 2 minutes, so maybe 2 minutes is the best they can do.  But a data point every 2 minutes is still much better than only every 5 or 6 minutes like the default.  It does not shorten the lag between an event happening and being able to see it on the app, but if you pull the historic data on the app or website it will be in more granular detail due to the increased number of data points.
