March 6, 20224 yr Hey all, I have an awesome system running two Sunsync inverters and two Freedom Won batteries. The batteries are both 40 /32 kWh but one is between a half and two-thirds the size of the other. Both seem to have similar specs. Does anybody know why the size difference and if they should be priced differently? Thank you Pooks Edited March 6, 20224 yr by Pooks added pic
March 6, 20224 yr Just from your picture you can see the shorter one is thicker and also in your picture you can see that you needed a shorter battery on the left. Are you seriously thinking someone went through the trouble of faking one battery?
March 7, 20224 yr Author There's about a 60kg difference in weight between the two. My question is simply what is the difference between the two.
March 7, 20224 yr Maybe pop FW an email and ask them, dont think you are going to get an answer on this forum. Not many people on here with those batteries.
March 14, 20224 yr FW has got multiple ranges, the bigger one seems to be from the Home and Business range supporting High Voltage storage (https://www.freedomwon.co.za/lite-home-and-business-hv-range/), where the smaller one seems to be from the 52V Home and Business range (https://www.freedomwon.co.za/lite-home-and-business-52v-range/). Other than for aesthetics reasons, I would also like to know why your installer chose the two different ranges. Were they identically priced? Beautiful batteries are they, Freedom Won!
April 5, 20224 yr Author Hey GWH, The price was the same. According to them, it was what was available and fit in well with the physical space available. Their reasoning was that the cells were packed more densely inside. Regardless of the reason, they give me great joy.
