Axpert Firmware

Featured Replies

I have a RCT-AXVM3 - 3K24V Inverter.

See the attached pic of firmware Versions I have.

Are there any new firmware versions available and if so, where can I download it. I have looked everywhere but the version differ largely from what I have. Rectron don't have.

  • Hi guys, i've the MCU 2.81, received from MPP solar (PIP5048GK) to solve the "warning 61" (solved), with pyl us200oc mcu2_81.rar

  • Good luck man Just remember on AC we only get 20a max from our grid. Also check the highest amperage your battery can take.

  • Hi Wayne,   Glad to hear it's working, yeah that error gave me nightmares.  I am not sure why we get the error when the max charge current is set to higher than 20a, I assume the batter

The latest main firmware file that I have is 41.17; I don't recall where I got it from. [ Edit: Duh! It was from the Czech site. ] The vm3.hex file is dated Christmas day 2020. I've just uploaded it; link below. OOPS! This is a 5 kVA firmware. It should work for 5000 and 3000 W models, as well as 5200 and 3200 W. All PF1.0.

The removable display firmware is the same as the Axpert King, so 02.66 is the latest version that I know of, and is also available from the files section of this forum.

I've never seen a Bluetooth firmware update, and I would not now how to apply it.

I have downloaded the 41.17 firmware upgrade. Flashed and now it displays ver 20.59... ???? (It looks like the MPP Solar Version. Oops....!

Anyone with the same problem. Or where can I find vers 41.14? Have to revert back to the old one...

So far not a problem but time will tell. Have load shedding tonight.

BTW: New WatchPower1.15SP4 upgrade : https://voltaconsolar.com/monitoring-software/

Sadly ,you can't undo a firmware update; there is no room to store two firmware versions at once.

You could try the Czech site, though that's where I got 41.17. I also have 41.16, also from the Czech site (but no longer there; presumably 41.17 is meant to supersede it).

I also got it from there, and tried yours. But still the same. Do you still have a copy of the 41.16? Maybe it will work.

You can actually over write firmware, working in IT for about 35 years and has been doing bios, firmware upgrades thousands of times. Even roll back a bios/firmware upgrades. This should work.

But having said that, the Inverter works/functions normally. No issues so far. I will rather leave it and see what happens in the next couple of weeks.

Maybe mine was just a 1 in 100 case???? :)

Hi Guys,

I am struggling with the premature float bug,

Inverter model is the RCT alm 3k 24v,

Any firmware update that solves that issue?

Currently on V 7.11

No. There is virtually no patched firmware for 24 V, and no factory firmware has ever fixed the premature float bug.

I have no 07.xx firmware at all.

Hi Coulomb,

Thanks for the prompt response. I guess I'll have to take it up with the retailer, maybe get this one swapped for a 5kva model if they cannot help me.

Thanks once again.

There is version 74.03 about, but I can't recommend attempting to flash that over such a differently numbered firmware, in the present brick-happy environment. Possibly one is for the 2809 DSP chip, and the other for the 28066 DSP chip. Beware also of other, older and completely incompatible firmwares in the 74.xx range.

Hi regarding the firmware update for the mecer - Sol-i-ax-5m4 is there any update yet that you are aware of and if so where can I get it my inverter is giving me a very annoying issue where the solar drops to almost 0w then spikes back again to normal (read about this issue with other mecer inverters and firmware seems to solve it)

My understanding is that the SOL-I-AX-5M4 is an Axpert MKS IV. So IF you have the '2809 processor (e.g. with firmware version 74.xx), then there is already patched firmware available for your model. If however you have the '28066 processor (probably 52.xx firmware), then there is no firmware update for that series, and therefore no patched firmware.

Hi Coulomb, thank you so much for your reply been struggling for ages with Mecer to get any information and you replied in 1 day! Attached is my inverter information can you please let me know if you know of any updates based on this.

You have main firmware version 52.00; sadly, there is no update available for download that I am aware of.

There is a slightly later display firmware version (130.06), extracted by JTAG, but that won't affect PV charging.

You can get a hex file for the full flash image from a thread on this forum, but it's not suitable as is. It would have to be separated from the bootloader, and packaged up with the Arena reflash tool to be usable by others. It was extracted using JTAG.

I have a Mecer SOL-I-AX-5M4 Axpert MKS IV 5600va that I am using with a CFE-5100s 5.12kwh battery (firmware has been updated). I have been using the USER setting with the recommended battery settings as the LIB setting forces bulk and float charge voltages to 56v and this results in a F08 error on the inverter when the battery is full. The inverter then drops power and restarts.

My problem is that the USER setting does not show the correct battery voltage so charging tapers off, ie. when the battery is at 82% it is only charging at 2.35A. This is fine in stage 3 and 4 as over time it the battery will get to 99%. However under stage 6 the battery is at 82% and we have 3hrs load shedding in East London.

Is there a updated firmware for this inverter (Watchpower app shows  Main CPU 00052.00 and secondary CPU 00030.07) that allows you to change the bulk and float voltages in the LIB setting?
