July 6, 20223 yr Hi All Please advise on a F80 on King 2 I have 3 installations that is constantly giving me F80 3Phase installation with 2 inverters per phase total 6 inverters with solar panels Single phase total 2 inverters with solar panels Single phase total 2 inverters without solar panels (Only happened once) According to the internet F80 is a “ can fail” fault. The problem is that it happens intermittently and there does not seem to be a pattern to when it happens. I have swoped the communication cards on installation “2” but it still does the same. When the error occur, all the inverters have all the same error, so it is imposable to tell which inverter is the problem. None of the other Axpert models are giving me this problem, only the King2.

July 7, 20223 yr Author All the inverters was purchased on the same day and has the same firmware... When I swop the communication cards, I also swop the cables, to insure none of the old material is left in the system.

Sounds to me like a firmware bug (hard to imagine), or hardware glitch (e.g. EMI getting into the parallel board cables). The latter could be really hard to fix, unless it's just clamping on a ferrite bead or the like. Edit: added the following. Quote When I swop the communication cards, I also swop the cables, By communication cards, I assume you mean the paralleling cards, not the one with the RJ-45 connectors. July 11, 20223 yr Author Hi The firmware is 50.01. Yes I swop the parallel cards with cables. I've now swoped both the inverters completely at installation "2" a week ago...yesterday the client phoned me and told me there was an error.. On arrival we found only 1 inverter displaying F80.
May 7, 20242 yr BUMP Has anyone found a cause? I have the same issue Ver 50.07, all 3 inverters same FW IT happens randomly , sometimes after a day, sometimes after weeks NOTE: I ran KING 1 units in that same spot for YEARS, ALL parallel cables are perfect. I'm starting to think these KING2 units are duds. After having these units for 3 days , 2 of them blew up, I had to pay premium to have them repaired. DIY Geek and Full circle solar warrants no warrantee..... everything with them is "POWER SURGE" there is no way I'm sending them back

May 7, 20242 yr Have you tried more recent main firmware? The latest I have is 50.14. For the Axpert King II only (not King 1 or any other model). Use at your own risk. Rar password is in the filename. AxpertKINGII_5KW_STANDARD_50.14 pw 111.rar Edited May 7, 20242 yr by Coulomb
May 7, 20242 yr The inverter displays" UPG YES" Nothing happens on the software , stays 0% , times out to " can not open serial port step 1" update, I tried a different serial cable and it's upgrading Edited May 7, 20242 yr by Deondti
