July 24, 20224 yr Hello all I have a 5kw Deye inverter running a 4.8kw dyness battery. There are 2 things it's doing which I need advice on. 1. The battery only charges to 80% . Is there a battery setting or a charge setting that might need to be activated or might need to be changed . Is charge times for ac charge of the battery perhaps? 2. The other issue is that the other night the inverter started using battery power when there was no load shedding. The ac green light was on but the inverter showed eskom was disconnected with a red cross and the battery was draining down to supply the load . Is this a setting too or something more critical ? I'm told it could be that the grid and the inverter are not stabilizing together. Or Is it a wiring issue as it was fine before. It happened just after 12am. Thank you

Do you have "Solar Sell" or "Selling First" activated? Are you exporting power to the grid? If so, best is to turn that off if you're not registered to sell into the grid, or don't have the right type of meter. Best case, maybe you're just spinning an old disc meter back. Worse case, if you have a prepaid meter, you're possibly accumulating cost as you're giving away power, and alerting the municipality.
