August 23, 20223 yr It looks like battery 2 might be a bit tired, but it can possibly be saved or given a bit more life if your inverter suffers from the premature float bug like my mks 24V which results in chronic under charging of the batteries because it stops charging at float voltage and never reaches bulk charge voltage. Watch your inverter as it charges and reaches float voltage, if it enters float stage (charge light goes solid green) when it first reaches the float voltage setting and doesn't go up to bulk voltage then you have the premature float bug. Fix this by changing your float voltage to the same as bulk and let it charge up to it and stay there for about an hour and then change the float voltage back down to its correct value. Do that for about a week and you should see better results from your batteries.

Many thanks for the advice Jumper, I will discharge and charge tonight to follow your advice for a week in the hope that I can recover some use out of the batteries. Could I possibly ask you for further advice on the matter please? When you say "it stops charging at float voltage and never reaches bulk charge voltage" what does the volts on the screen reflect when the light stops flashing - will it continue reading 27.4v once the light stops flashing, or will it read 29.2V which is the bulk charge voltage it is set to? Secondly is there any way to "fix" the bug on the inverter? TIA

If you have the bug it will show 27.4V on screen when the light stops flashing (goes solid on, off is stopped charging) and will never reach 29.2V on screen. If you don't have the bug it will continue flashing until it shows 29.2V on screen and then will go solid green and the voltage will drop down to 27.4V and it should float there. 1 hour ago, DenBeech said: Secondly is there any way to "fix" the bug on the inverter? TIA Unfortunately there is no software fix for our 24V models, there is only patched firmware for the 48V models. The fix some guys use is to get another separate mppt charger (epever?) connected directly to the battery to charge at bulk voltage at the same time as the inverter.
