Hi I purchased a Kodak Solar system 7.2 KW investor and 5 Kodak batteries and control.

system works fine, but trips under heavy load 2kw+ and the inverter trips for no apparent reason usually soon after panels stop charging.

Any ideas?

thanks in advance

Chris

I have the same inverter and it is running 100% fine. you mention under heavy load …. So maybe something start that would normally be fine but since you are already on heavy load, now the inverter cannot manage.

Some appliances have an initial much higher starting demand. I would start looking there.

maybe I have not pushed mine that far, but it should go to by-pass up to a point before tripping. Anyhow, being new myself, that is my understanding.

That is strange, that inverter should handle quite a bit. What error messages are you seeing when it trips? Try upload some pics of the setup if you can, it could be due to battery wiring or something like that causing a big voltage drop under load.
