Livoltek Hyper 5000 Hybrid with 5kWh Livoltek Lithium BLF51-5

Featured Replies

Hybrid Hyper 5000 split unit with Livoltek Lithium battery. No stock of the all in one units but they a week away from stock. Something to mention is that the Hyper 5000 is IP65 & is Grid interactive & listed & approved by the NRS.

Many more of these to be installed soon. Ideal for ppl with limited space or maybe in a rental unit.

@Steve87 their wesite has this info
By simply installing an AC coupled energy storage system based on this inverter at the AC output, you could retrofit your existing on-grid solar system to a solar energy storage system without changing your current installation. It can synchronize with grid tie inverter to support loads and increase the overall inverter capacity. So if you have a 5 kW solar inverter and a 5 kW battery inverter, your total output would be 10 kW. You also get the added benefit of an emergency power supply, increasing the solar self-consumption rate, and reduce your energy bill.
I'm asking because I had a 5kw battery inverter previously because that what I could afford.

Since moving I haven't won the lotto so budget is still an issue, what I'm asking is, is it possible to combine a grid tied inverter with this inverter and be able to get 10kw output for less than say 2 parallel inverters of the same make.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of going that route?

Very neat as usual, it looks very compact. Could fit under stairs?

It even looks like you could 2 batteries in that install if needed.

Thanks. Yes the unit stands 1,45m from to to bottom so stairs should be good depending on the height of the staircase.

We installed the inverter in this way so that so that an extra battery can be added. You can add up to 5 units.

Yes it is very possible & I have accomplished this with the Livoltek Retro inverter that is exactly like the Hyper but has no PV input. They made such a battery inverter as a cheaper option so that ppl with Grid tied machines can upgrade & use their existing PV inverter as AC coupled. It requires 2 meters to be paired together. The grid tied will feed its output to the Retro & the retro will be able to charge using the AC output of the Grit tied. The Retro sees the Grid tied inverter as a grid charger. The 10kW out put comes from the 5kW PV of the Grid Tied inverter + the 5kW discharge from the Retro battery inverter.

I only see advantages to this arrangement.  You can AC couple it to any Grid tied inverter of any size. It will only take what it needs from the charger nothing more. The rest will push as hard as possible against the Grid & if you want to Grid feed it will do so.

Hi, I am also keen to hear how these all in one units are performing compared to the more popular Sunsynk and Deye units? The specs look good and it is fanless.
