November 2, 20223 yr I posted this in the newcomers section with no answers, so let me try here🙂  Hi *, I did the jump to solar and the system was installed 5 days ago. After reading a lot of posts on this forum, I've got so many questions but I think first my setup deye 5kw shoto 5.12kw panels 4.1kw will upgrade next year The thing that confuses me the most is the essential and non essential wiring, I've got my 2 X geyser(3kw kwitot with geyserwise) and stove on non essential with the rest on essential. The geyser is set to run at 11am to 12 and the other from 13 to 14:00. I can see on the deye that when the microwave is used it consumes from the panels, with only a load of about 500watt I switch the geyser on but the deye doesn't show any consumption from the panels at all. I had a long stare at the db, the CT is before the main breaker with the arrow pointing towards it. There's 2 live and 2 neutral wires coming from the inverter. The one pair is on the main breaker output going to the inverter while the other pair comes back and is connected to the top of the earth leakage breaker which then goes to the top of the plugs and lights breakers. The stove and geyser wires comes directly from the output of the main breaker without going through the earth leakage. So how does the deye know what is on the non essential circuit if there's no wires connected to it and how will it feed access power from the panels as it looks like the plugs/lights(deye) is completely isolated from the geysers/stove I'm attaching my DB layout, I hope it makes sense yes I know it's a rats nest, will have to get my electrician out to make it neat
November 2, 20223 yr Check that the CT is connected to the correct pins on the inverter. I think it's 3 and 4 or 5 and 6. Is "limit to load" unticked under zero export power?Â
November 2, 20223 yr What is the setting under System Work Mode? You need to set "Zero export to CT." Make sure the CT is installed with the arrow pointing the correct direction. And maybe try to route the cable for the CT coil away from other wires, and twist the CT coil's cables somewhat more tightly. Just a thought, hope it helps. Edited November 2, 20223 yr by GreenFields
November 2, 20223 yr Author thanks for the replies, the Zero export to CT resolved it for me, thanks again
