You cannot get 2 liters of water out of 1 liter bottle. However, usually inverters can be overloaded for a few seconds, look at the specifications of your inverter. That info should be there. For instance, in my case Growatt 500 ES. Overload Protection 5s@≥150% load; 10s@110%~150% load Edited January 12, 20232 yr by Antonio de Sa
January 12, 20232 yr Author It is a Growatt SPF500ES---I thought that in bypass mode the inverter is bypassed via relays and that utility supplies power to the house

If in bypass as you correctly say the load is supplied by the grid and not the inverter. Thanks for correcting me.
January 12, 20232 yr Author Thanks Antonio---Can I use appliances that draws more than 5kw then ??? Guys here in Mosselbay can not give me an answer
January 23, 20232 yr It´s not right. in SBU power is drawn from the battery in SUB power is drawn mostly from grid. Why mostly because the inverters behave sometimes weird.. In bypass you can draw more than 5kW but check the manual in the specs I think 6kW is mentioned...
