Sunsynk 5KVA push back to non essential load

The screenshot in my post is the latest firmware (updated last week).

"Solar export should only be ticked if surplus solar power should be exported to the grid. '

If zero Export is ticked then it will surely ignore solar export completely.

no it will still export to grid even if zero export is ticked if you have solar export ticked ... i just tested it to make sure.

I've also just tested. I can literally watch the AC load and Solar dials climb by 3kw when switching on my geyser (on non-essentials). When I switch it off, they both drop right down. I'm producing 5kw right now with the geyser on. When I turn it off, it goes nowhere.

With zero export and solar export ticked and on the latest firmware.

And if you untick zero export and tick solar export does it feed to the grid then ?

Nah, it wont let me uncheck zero export with solar export on, it removed them both the minute I save.

Not sure if my export power limiter set to 0 prevents grid export completely - possibly... will play a bit later

Yea thats probably it the power limiter must be preventing it from exporting .

I'm not so sure... the manual's description of the power limiter is this:

Anyone know what a good number for that would be in the case of a 5.5kw model?

Curious that mine is set to 0...

mine is on 5500w. If i tick solar export it dumps all my solar into grid.

Just curious. If you have zero export u ticked does it dump all PV to the grid or does it 1st power the non essentials and the rest of the 5.5kW goes to the grid.

it first powers the non essentials and then whats left goes to the grid.

Late reply to this chain, but my 2 cents:

These settings are a bit confusing but I've found the following helps to make sense of it:
1. Zero export: "Don't export power into the grid"
2. Solar export: "...EXCEPT surplus solar power"
3. Limit to load: "Don't even power the non-essential loads from the inverter. (solar or battery)"

I suspect (but haven't tested), if you untick all these boxes, it will export to grid even from your battery at a rate limited to the Power Limit setting on this screen.
