Parallel inverter installation

Featured Replies

When fitting 2, do you have to split the loads between them or do they do it automagically?

So for example do I need to wire say the geyser to one and the oven to the other to ensure it doesn't cause tripping if both are on at the same time?

Hope I'm explaining properly.

The question of yours is a little vague as you can have panels, batteries and inverters in parallel.

I am assuming you are meaning parallel inverters, but to be sure can you confirm.

You don't wire individual circuits to individual inverters. You wire your whole essential DB board to both inverters in parallel.

Same with your batteries. You connect your batteries to a busbar and connect the battery-in for each inverter to the busbar.

Paralleled inverters share both the load as well as the batteries - no individual connections (assuming you have a single-phase system - different story for 3-phase system)

When everything is wired correctly as above, they will split the load automatically. See my system below:

If the inverter's max Imp is 13 Amp per MPPT.. I'm guessing that will  stay and not dbl up to 26 ?

Correct

But as each inverter has 2 MPPT, with 2 inverters in parallel you then have 4 MPPT with each 13A available

How do the inverters synchronise voltage & phase when the grid is down? Is there a data connection between them?
