Raiden2912
I have 2 RJcables connected to my shoto sdc-10 batteries A and B but not getting any readings for the temperature…..using emulated BMS
abd7
If you using emulated BMS that means you don't have comms between your inverter and your battery. Your SoC is being estimated with emulated BMS, your inverter is probably in USER mode ie voltage based control which has been set manually. So you won't get battery temperature either with just the inverter cable. From what I remember (having had a shoto before) they were very difficult to get the inverter battery coms running with a kodak / voltronic inverter. Not sure if that's been sorted out now. -- Although, even if you have the inverter battery comms set up correctly and use the Lib setting on the inverter, by connecting solar assistant to your inverter you will not necessarily pick up the battery temperature depending on your inverter. -- But : If you get the direct solar assistant cable to your battery then you would pick up further stats. Chris_S
Use the correct SA cables. 1 to inverter and 1 to battery. That's what I'm doing on the same BMS as you system32

Raiden2912
I got it connected from the Solar Assistant device to the battery, changed the connection in SA battery settings to USB /DALY UART, connected successfully but now I’m getting 0% SOC and a bunch of packs in my SA views. I suspect that this cable is a problem. Edited April 5, 2023 by Raiden2912

Raiden2912
Hi All, I connected up my cable and voila I have the stats I was looking for, thank you all for all the guidance. Really appreciate it. One thing I have 2x 5.12 SHOTO SDC-Box5 batteries however the stats are showing 100ah capacity, is this correct? abd7
It looks like it's only picking up the one battery, connect solar assistant to the master, and then ensure the batteries have the lan cable between them connected correctly, and the dip switches are correct as per the manual. Restart batteries after dip switch change.
Raiden2912
Thanks Abd7. Sorted. the dips switches were incorrectly set.
