April 17, 20233 yr Hey All, I purchased x8 545 Canadian Solar Panels from a gentleman who was not an authorised distributor, and acted as what he describes as an "agent", upon installation of the panels, I started to second guess their authenticity for the following reason: - They have not achieved a greater output of 375W per panel. - The sticker on the back regarding its specs looks authentic, however, when you scan the QR code it takes you to a Google search page with "Canadian cyber security" as the search, not related to Canadian Solar panels. - There is no barcode underneath the glass, which I have read on another forum, PV panels should have? I am based in Northriding, I am looking for an expert that could maybe certify my suspicions or authenticate the panels. Each panel cost me R3900, so I am out of pocket here and feeling taken advantage of and would like to amend the situation, any advise? Thanks
April 17, 20233 yr Hi Kyle Sorry to hear about your issues, perhaps post more detail about the setup, pics of the voltage readings on your strings, inverter type, install pics, pics of panels and pics with QR codes etc. Each panel should have a serial number. When we buy panels for our installations from the official distributors they send us the serial numbers of each panel and we cross check the actual serial number on the tax invoice with what we put up on our customers roof's
April 17, 20233 yr the The output looks about the same as spec sheet , maybe grey import Measure the panel size and confirm with spec sheet ELECTRICAL DATA | NMOT* 545MS Opt.
