Deye 8kva F23 Fault

Featured Replies

Hi all I have a friend of mine who installed a Deye 8kva at his place .. He's getting fault F23 and the inverter sounds the alarm throughout the night everyday. The fault clears on its own during the day. On the manual it's saying AC leakage is transient over current... Anyone who have encountered that before and how did you solve it thank you

i also saw this error on mine. there are 2 pv strings coming into mine. turns out that one of the strings was shorting to the DC earth (I HAVE A SEPARATE DC earth dug into the ground. after establishing this as a possible cause by testing between the Dc earth connected to all the panels and pv positive input i disconnected that one pv string and everything seems to be fine. my errors used to come mainly at night and i saw F18 and F23 both on different occasions.

This is the reason why you need to earth your solar array at 2 points if using an earth spike. One wire running to your earth spike and 1 wire running back to the main earth bar in your utility(Eskom) db board. You don't always get a good ground(earth) from your earth spike it depends on the soil resistivity it varies throughout the country. Spike installation should be tested by uising Fall-of-Potential test method.

I have a sunsynk 5kw inverter and I had this same problem last night. I have completely disconnected my solar panels. I have tried multiple system restarts. But the inverter is not restarting. It powers on, but does not change to normal. Does anyone have any suggestions
