Can Hager breakers be used as isolators

I don't see mention of on load reconnecting though, so presumably an isolator is still required or are there some that can also do reconnects under load?

But then the typical domestic person is usually taught to isolate after trips before re-engaging the breaker 🤔

But for isolators it will also be switching under no load. Generally my gut says you can close under load when the MCB can break the load. Perhaps my gut is wrong???

What about in rush current?

There is a fault current stipulated on each breaker normally in "kA" that is the fault current the breaker could carry before it is destroyed. @rinnersyou Hager breaker has a fault carrying capacity of 4000 amps.

One of the test you do before signing off the CoC  PFC( prospective fault current) test calculates the current that will flow in the event of an earth fault; i.e., Line to Earth.

It is important that we conduct the tests to make sure that the protective devices installed within a circuit are rated at the correct breaking capacity. Within a domestic installation, it is common to find 6000A (6kA) rated MCB’s installed within a circuit

You might not find the breaker. People even build DB inside a kitchen cupboard with no notice. Just like people build inverters inside kitchen cupboards. 

I'm not even talking about the free space around a DB as per regs.

Both geyser and stove isolators breaking live and neutral(2pole) within 1.5 meters from the appliance. Stove wiring size 4mm² so you need dedicated 32 amp breaker from the db and 40 amp isolator. If it is a standard 4 plate stove with oven then you can not run it off a 16 amp socket outlet.

Also very practical. A guy needs to work on the heat pump and perhaps switch it on/off a few times. 

If rainy no muddy boots through your house as he might not even have to enter the house :). Although an added expense I see just good in it.
