June 22, 20233 yr Good morning, We have two pv banks installed, one facing east and one west. The first set is working great, but after 13h00 when the second set needs to kick in, it only delivers a nominal load and starts pulling power from the batteries. Is there some setting on the inverter that we need to change. Regards

We need much more information apart from east/west facing panels. 1. Solar panel wattage and manufacturer. 2. Amount of panels east/west. 3. How are the pannels connected series/ parralel or both. 4. What inverter are you using, make size(wattage or kva) 5. What battery type(chemistry) size in ah and the voltage. You can add pictures it always helps. You are at the best forum for solar assistance many solar pros part of this forum and will gladly assist.
June 22, 20233 yr 6. Are both PV strings on a single MPPT or on two separate MPPTs? 7. Any chance of any shading on the panels later in the day? 8. Any chance your inverter settings vary on a time of use basis?
June 22, 20233 yr Author 3 x Sunsynk 5kw inverter parralel for 3phase system. 30 x 550w solar panels. 6 string of 5 panels each. 2 strings per inverter. 5 facing east. 5 facing west per inverter.
June 22, 20233 yr @corned232 send 3 pictures 1 per inverter at around 11h00 and 3 pictures again at 14h00 similar of attached screen(system flow chart) below showing mppt 1 and 2 of each inverter. If east facing panels are producing satisfactory according to your post then west facing should be around similar pv production. Photos of east and west facing panels will also help.
