diagram for the connection of the RJ45 cable. I see you marked you power input with Black and Red mark.

Have a look at the online store, there are a couple of high resolution images that will tell you what you want to know.

smarthomeintegrations(dot)co(dot)za

The ESP32 Microcontroller USB port always needs to face the same direction as the power port marked with red and black (input 5V-16V DC)

RS485 (Orange left & Orange/White to the right)   or   brown/white left and brown right  (assuming you crimped T568B)

@DJHarry You are most welcome order at the online store. It has been a crazy couple of days to get all the orders shipped. I did email you all the details 12 days ago.

I currently have stock

I managed to connected the module now that I have an enclosure

But when I try and connect as per your Youtube tutorial its asking for a WIFI password, .  The Configure DeyeInverterMaster AP is encrypted with a password ?

My website will send you all the required passwords once the courier delivers.

I have noticed that most people ignore these emails. Should have mentioned it over here.

Thank you so much for the 3D Print design files

Quick update: I got a delivery of another batch of SmartDeyeDongles. All the installed dongles are working really well. Had 0 failures and they operate without a single CRC error. One customer swapped the M/C(microcontroller) around which fried the M/C board but we managed to replace the M/C and it has been plain sailing ever since. Also had some great successes with one customer saving more than the cost of his SmartDeyeDongle in the first month.

The latest firmware version supports an upgrade function which will give you access to the latest firmware upgrade going forward. Existing customers can contact me to get this upgrade flashed.

My website also supports web-flashing (to enable overseas clients to flash their own circuits).

I am also close to release a Split-Phase and 3Phase version of the firmware.

If you have a 3Phase 12kW Deye/Sunsynk and would like to be an early tester, please contact me and together we can test and optimise your house.

@iiznh Thanks for the excellent work, Can you tell me which sensors on the power flow card which is essential & which are None essential?

I have a pool & geyser on the None essential and like to show the icon and the power ( watts ) separately.

Thanks

As I dont have a 220 V plug close to my inverter to  power the module so it was a bit of an issue.

I ended up simply powering up the unit straigh of the inverter.

I bough a R30 DSub 9 cable from Geewiz and found 12V between pin 9 and the outer ground of the connector (serial port were the wifi dongle usually connects

It has been working perfectly.

I dont use my wifi dongle so this works for me.

Creative! Thanks for sharing, would you mind posting a photo?

May I ask why you decided to remove your factory dongle?

Quick update.

image.thumb.jpeg.40d60eae8b810310d123ae293e861834.jpeg

I added the first batch of 3D printed cases to the online store.

I have decided that the profit made from the 3D printed cases will go directly to the engineering student that designed and printed the cases.

I basically just list them on my online store.

The 3Phase version of the SmartDeyeDongle has also been working flawlessly in testing (currently testing on a 12kW inverter), will be made available soon.

3 Phase has been added and is now available for order

I have started shipping some orders to Europe to test the waters.

is see local pickup is possible on your store. Where are you based?

Monument Park Pretoria.

I do send packages nationally for R100 with The courier guy. I see you also asked me a question on Carbonite too.

Thanks, are you available for collection during the day?
Heading to Centurion for a meeting and thought maybe kill 2 birds with one stone.

Sure! Just place your order before so I know what firmware to flash. I'll pm you my cellnumber, for quick responses rather send me a whatsapp

Quick update: I released dashboard 4.5 (a while ago already) and firmware 4.5. All existing clients can upgrade(free of charge).

I added full support for High Voltage 50kW inverters (and the other models 12/20/30 kW HV).

The 4.5 firmware version include workarounds for Sunsynk and Deye servers that go offline. You can now add an automation to work around the problem.

Complete revamp of the graphs to work around broken data from Server down time (It works on the existing data).

Graphs included for daily, weekly, monthly and lifetime totals. Graphs start populating from the first day.

Many Generator port controls added.

One dashboard for Single Phase / 3Phase / 3 Phase High Voltage.

Interesting: Getting most of my orders from Europe.

With Loadshedding suspended I have received very few local orders.

Hi iiznh,

I have 2 x Deye SUN-5k-SG04LP1 Hybrid Inverters, paralleled, master/slave. You're the only person within this space that I've come across, specifically incorporating the Deye range of Inverters within Home Assistant, and as such I really appreciate the time and effort you've put into developing the hardware/software packages.

I don't have many questions, other than some confusion whether I need your dongle for just the master or both the master and slave. For clarity, if it's the later, can you confirm what I actually need? Maybe a video setting up a master/slave Inverter setup, along with Home Assistant integration is needed?

Cheers

Storm

Master Slave you need 2x dongles. The master reports different values than the slave even though some of the values are shared. My dashboard gives you a unified view of your system (and also a view for both master and slave). I have had very few queries on setting up a Master/Slave dashboard, most people figured out my naming conventions (and the comments in the config files gives you a hint too).
