Sunsynk / Deye 3 phase setup

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. Currently have 3x 16kw Sunsynk inverters in a 3 phase setup. Would it be possible to just add one additional inverter? Due to space constraints it is only possible to add one. The 3 phases are about equally balanced, but just need some more output to add an additional single phase load. On one of Keith's videos he did mention it to be 3,6,9 for three phase, but maybe someone has done it with four?

You can do so, but the 16kw are single phase machines, so on one phase you'll end up having 32kw inverter , the other two will have 16kw.

Just make sure your municipal supply can provide that much power

It is off grid so supply is not a problem. Have you done such a setup or know if someone have done it? Just worried that there will be some kind of error if the system expects sets of 3 inverters in the comms.

Hi @JacquesVDMthe Sunsynk MAX can run unbalanced phases without any issues. You can have a Heavy phase & you can parallel as you see fit. In your current configuration you have 3 master inverters. Phase A, B & C. If you add an inverter to Phase A, you will have Phase A master & Phase A Slave & the rest stays the same. So the Phase A Slave will only connect to the Phase A master. The rest of the inverters do not care what is happening on Phase A. They are the masters of their own individual phases.

Effectively this is a 3 phase parallel setup & can accommodate a Single phase parallel within that same setup without issues.

Some other fundamentals are that all these inverters need a common DC battery bus. Battery Comms connects to any master inverter & is set to Lithium battery. The others all set to AGM.  Multi inverter page needs each inverter to have a unique Modbus number assigned.
