I am still trying to work it all out, but this is what I currently have setup (images). I am really keen to run as much as possible from the battery.... I see a long delay when it switches back to grid (about 1 minute)? I this normal? I am waiting for my Solar Assistant to arrive... Best Regards Jean

Best Regards Jean From your timer settings to keep the battery at 95% from 16h30 to 21h00 means you will be using grid power. You are only using battery power from 21h00 to 08h00 and this is 55% of battery capacity. Thus less than 3kWh per day. Very little used for self use by keeping the battery at 95% during the day period when there is sun. Normally one would try and use all the sun available as this is where one gets a high saving. To me priority is to use PV 1st and the battery for after sunset and ready for LS. Some members will be in a better position to give you guidelines. Just my 2c based on your settings. Power column: What does this mean? My inverter is 5kv. Default setting is 5000... 2. Line 5: Does this mean if the battery is not at 100% by 15, charge with the grid to 70%? Power column: Looking at the battery specs. Thinking to "baby" the battery during normal on-grid operation. Standard Charge is 50A, which suggests it's more of a 0.5C battery like the Pylontech. Don't know for sure. I know discharge says up to 100A, but you don't need to push the battery that hard to manage to cycle it once a day. Can do that slower throughout the evening. And once the grid goes down the System Work Mode doesn't matter, it defaults back to the battery settings or BMS limits. 2. Yes, you can up the grid charge level to whatever works for you. On sunny days you have comfortably generation to fill the battery. If really bad weather prevented a full charge by 3pm, it's unlikely the rest of the day will give enough power to charge the battery at that time of day. Any sunlight late in the day will also be used anyway. Chose 70% to try to reduce the amount of cycling of grid power, because that pushes up the cost of the grid power due to inefficiency losses. But charging to some reserve for loadshedding is advised. Whatever balance works for you. 3. "Battery First" will set priority for solar energy to charge battery before supplying house loads. Setting to Load First will divert solar power as first priority to your household loads, and charge later, and basically draw less from grid. You should have enough solar panels anyway to charge the battery in-between other daytime load demands.

Best Regards Jean Once 20h to 00h is discharged to 30% the 00h to 04h cannot get to 40% without grid charge. I will swop the 2 around. Then also use 30% for the 04h to 08h. Just my input.
