July 27, 20233 yr I have a unique problem. Ok so I only have single phase , most around me have 3 phase.. After load shedding last night I came back on with 110V so one phase is down. From what I can gather it is affecting 2 transformers on our road, so iti s probably the main overhead 11KV lines. My Inverter is running fine with eskom power ( 110) on, most appliances function fine. Rancilio Coffeee machine is fine, but grinder not, garage door motors not. some led lights flicker like crazy other are fine. Switch off Eskom grinder, garage door works, lights brighter so seems like voltage goes up. So when eskom is above a certain voltage, the Inverter feeds eskom through. Update before posting I suddenly thought there must be a setting.. as below , select the UPS range and its fixed... Lux power 5kw Pylontech US3000C 4 X Canadian Solar 430W panels 1 Mecer inverter 2X 200A Gel batteries 2 X Mecer 330 W panels Edited July 27, 20233 yr by DaveAWalker
July 27, 20233 yr Most appliances can run from low volts but fridges motor can get damaged from low volts so yes try stay on battery or switch of fridges . On Monday the opposite happened part of town had high volts of 380 volts the few that got inverters the appliances were saved as the inverter switched to battery mode the houses that did not have inverter there tvs , microwaves , gate motor and more burnt out so the house with inverter were okay Edited July 27, 20233 yr by GMAC

July 28, 20233 yr Author Coulomb , been here for 34 year and it is a regular occurrence. I measured the voltage on the DB below Transformer Red was 110V. Different transformer one the road had no power but could not get more info Eskom only ever repair when it breaks, never improve the system.. Now we getting many more houses and flats.. only gonna get worse.
