July 30, 20232 yr Due to a transformer fault, we were without power for 5 days. It's also winter and overcast, so 8 panels did fully charge the batteries (2 x Shoto 5100wH). The power came on at 06h00 today. Charging priority is Util. The inverter will only charge at 30A if it is switched off Turn it on and it drops to 2A Is this correct? Is it not possible in BYPASS mode to charge the battery at 30A and power the house at the same time? The load is 4% or 193 watts

It certainly should be possible to do this. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the MAX. It's possible that you have old firmware; what is your main/U1 firmware version?

August 7, 20232 yr Having a similar fault on Kodak OG 10. Due to fault on Eskom line the batteries dropped to cut-off voltage and the system shut down, I wasn't monitoring the system at the time so I don't know if Eskom was restored before the batteries was at cut-off voltage - Solar is not installed, the system is used as "UPS" for essential equipment only. When power was restored, it was not charging, it started charging (at 30A) when inverter was switched off (Standby). When inverter is switched on the charging stops and the load runs from batteries. After the batteries and inverter was rebooted a few times charging was normal again, but after the first power failure the same fault occurred. System setting #5 is set to "User", because "Pyl" , comms to 3 x Kraft 56V 120Ah 6.5KWh batteries (using Pylontech's protocols) gave Error 61 (communication error). I need some advice please Chrisc could you solve the fault on the OG 7.2
