Hello everyone,

any one know apple software or android software for Voltronic Infini inverter

to monitoring power, consumption or anything load through the inverter, like shinewifi from growatt

please share with me

Hi alkafak,

as far as I know, there's no solution for InfiniSolar that's near as good as Shine Wifi and Shine Server. And that's one of the reasons why MPP, Giant and Growatt are so sucessfull in OEMing Voltronics product - they offer better local support, modified firmware and/or value-add apps.

Standard options for InfiniSolar are:

1) SNMP WebPro Card

With this card, you don't need SolarPower software anymore as all the settings and statistics will be available in the web interface. A little trouble for you might be the fact that it works on the local network only, so in order to get access from anywhere, you have to configure you internet router accordingly (which may introduce some security risks).

2) Wifi Card

With this card, your inverter connects to the cloud (www.power-datacenter.com), so you can check the statistics from anywhere in the world. Some screenshots are in the PDF above. The fact is that this card is relatively new thing and same applies to that site. In other words, it has just a basic functionality for now.

 

BTW: With the first card installed, you still will be able to deploy ModBus meter + ModBus server box in order to enable grid-limiting. With the second card, I bet that grid limiting won't be possible as it does not have a modbus port and wifi is not so fast and reliable when compared to RS-485/modbus protocol. So, double-check that before the purchase, if you need to combine these features together.

Thank you for your replying my question, i think the first card for remote monitoring must be port forwarding the IP public in the router, this case very risk for security reason,

i'll try browse the best choice to implement for my inverter

Check out ICC (Inverter Control Centre) - compatible with Voltronic inverters at ICC .

The most popular solution involves purchasing a dedicated Raspberry Pi and connecting a USB between the inverter and the Pi. The ICC software then allows you to push the inverter data to the cloud which can be accessed via a laptop or smartphone remotely.

I find that SolarPower Pro via SNMP is unstable and not user-friendly. I have not experimented with the WiFi card or its end-user interface and thus cannot comment on that product.

Does ICC Display all the same info as SNMP Webcard or is there anything missing?  What do you mean SNMP web is unstable? 

Anyone know of other better alternatives?

I have bought a SNMP web card from Geewiz and installed it into my Infinisolar 5kw inverter. I had several issues though: 

1. I could only get it to work with the web server.

2. I could not get it to work with any of the Solar Power Software.

3. It would only work for anything between 6-24 hours and then it would connect but the data would be "frozen" from the time that it stopped feeding any info from the inverter. It would then only work again after I power down the inverter.

4. It worked for less than a month and now my SNMP manager cannot even pick up my inverter, although the green light is on and the orange LED light is flashing.

I noted that on the Voltronic website the protocols listed for the web card gives the folowing: TCP/IP, UDP,SNTP, HTTP, DHCP, SNMP v1/2/3,SMTP

The Protocol listed for all the cards I can find online only list SNMP1 and SNMP 2. Does that have anything to do with the fact that it does not want to work with the Solar Power Software?

I am willing to buy another web card, but then I want the solar Power Software to work and also not to stop working after a day or so. 

Any suggestions?

For information, I am also running the ICC program at the same time.

The card can be used via built-in webserver or Solar Power Pro.

Solar Power software works via USB/RS232 only. For this card, you need another version of the software, it's called Solar Power Pro. Then, use the SNMP Manager part of this software to search the IP subnet for the card. For me it works, but that software is really crappy: I have to play with SNMP Manager a lot, in order to discover the card everytime. Next day, I start the PC again and the card is not there, etc. So, I found the built-in webserver to be much more useful than Solar Power Pro.

That's exactly the same issue that I have with the card. Have 2 of them, and both are behaving the same - they work for a day or two, then got stuck. The web interface of the card is working but the problem is between the card and the inverter - the communication between these two is broken and restart is the only solution. To me it looks like a faulty design. (I wrote a short paragraph on the SNMP card in my thread, link is in my signature.)
 

Since I have 2 units paralleled, I found a workaround: In the evening I switch the 1st unit to charger mode and since there's no sunshine, it dies after a minute. 2nd unit seamlesly takes over all the AC loads, so there's no downtime. Then I power 1st unit on and repeat the above steps with the 2nd unit. In the future, I'm going to automate the process by an external PLC controller. That PLC will also power on/off 2nd Infinisolar unit based on the actual AC loads, so if there will be a little AC load, the 2nd unit will be in the solar charger mode, where it has much lower power consumption. 1st unit will be powered 24x7, of course.

 

Long story short, the SNMP card for Infini is a piece of crap. Sorry.
