Kodak bespoke F08 error issues

Featured Replies

Hi All/Coulomb

I am experiencing a niggling issue with a Kodak OG5.48. All was running fine after install with Pylontech UP5000 battery.

Then last week I addedsome 545 Canadian solar panels in series, 8 to be exact. I then switch output priority to SBU. Soon as it starts up the Inverter trips earthleakage and restarts and give F08 error. If running it from utility and solar it runs fine, if running it from utility and battery it runs fine. It seems when adding solar it start with issues. there is surge protection on the solar and I measured the incoming voltage is 403 Volts. According to manual specs it should be able to run up to 450 Volts. I also set the charging currents down to 20A but issue persists. Please help as now my solar is just sitting there and doing nothing.  Firmware U1-47.00, U2-2.83

Are there different models with the same naming convention of this inverter?

I see different specs for the same thing essentially. hard to tell which is accurate :D

If the specs listed from the below site is accurate - you have an issue with those panels all in series.

  • Solar Charger Type : MPPT
  • Maximum PV Array Power : 4000 W
  • MPP Range @ Operating Voltage : 60~115VDC
  • Maximum PV Array Open Circuit Voltage : 145 VDC
  • MPPT Maximum Input Current : 60 A
  • Maxmum Solar Charge Current : 80 A
  • Maximum AC Charge Current : 60 A

The sticker on the side will be the best place to start.

The machine reffered to by your link is Kodak OG-5.48+ which is a rebranded Axpert King, and it has a low voltage MPPT.

The OG 5.48 is rebranded Axpert VM3, high voltage MPPT

The OG 5.48a is rebranded Axpert MKS3, high voltage MPPT

Ok, I magaed to get all working now without tripping the ELD. Now when mains goes away the inverter makes a funny ZZZZZ noise and after approx. 10 seconds battery shutsdown by it self. Pylotech`s do thatapparently when charge voltage too high.

I set bulk charge down to 54V but it still happens. Tried on PYL and on USE settings. Any ideas guys? please help.

UP5000 is a 15S cell configuration . 54v is about the high cutoff protection level (3.6v per cell) . Try 53v and see what happens.
