VM-3000 E9 error on equalise

Featured Replies

@Coulomb maybe you know why this happens?

I can send the PBEQA1/0 commands to activate/deactivate equalisation on my Synapse inverter. It accepts the commands and it begins to charge at the specified equalisation voltage (28.8 in my case), but the screen flashes an E9 error. Everything else appears fine and the error disappears when I deactivate equalisation. No errors or warnings are reported otherwise.

By the way, I've established these Synapse 3.0V+ are rebranded VM-3000 machines (they report this model on a QMN reply).

This is not actually an error, it is trying to say Eq (for equalization), not E9.

Well I'll be damned. Thanks! I was looking at the error codes in the manual but didn't think of this!

It has happened to many of us, the fact that it is flashing and the same format as all the other error messages makes one panic just a little.

There is also the icon, which means warning, as opposed to the ERROR icon. You can see it in your image above.

But many people seem not to notice these tiny icons, and it's very common for people to report "error 61" when in fact it's warning code 61, for example.
