Okay so here i go, got a ecco inverter 24v with a 24v lifepo4 A grade with build in BMS inside battery. But does not got a connection port for the BMS to inverter on the battery pack. Did setup all the setting as required in the book that came with the battery. everything works fine except the inverter does not want to go into float stage doesn`t matter what i try! It charge the battery to 29.2v but stays there, tested with tester to see if the inverter is still giving amps to the battery to charge. So no Amps when it sits on 29.2v but still the inverter keeps the battery on that volts and not going down to float on 27.5v, i tried lowering the float to 27v still nothing. Bulk charge is set on 28.8 as asked. Can the battery  get damaged if it does not go down to float stage on 27.5v as the batteries is kept on 29.2volt? and i don`t know why this is happening. Did have gel batteries on it and the inverter did go into float stage.

Did you change program 5 from AGM to USER DEFINED? Then you can set program 26,27,29

Yes did change it to user. And did set program 26,27 and 29. Can i maybe set the bulk voltage up to 29.2 and leave it for a hour to see if it goes into float stage? Or is it to risky?

29.2 is equalize volts and should not be necessary to set such volts for bulk . If you want long life out your cells it best not to bulk charge daily more than 3.45 per cel and float at 3.4v per cel . I normally only set equalize volts twice a month for a few hours so the bms can balance cells at high volts .

What is your value set in on 32  bulk charge time .Default is automatically bested to Start with 5 min and go from there

I left the bulk charge time on auto. So can that also be the problem. Wil test it after work today.

If the battery BMS is a proper one it should stop accepting charge if there is a risk of overcharging.

You could try to do that 29.2v is 3.65v/cell max allowable voltage for lfp or set vloat to 28.2v and see if it comes down from 29.2v to 28.2v iaw set bulk and float to 28.2v

So did the 29.2v bulk and still no float, there must be a bug or something on the inverter for not going into float stage. Tested the amp going to batterie and it does stop charging but keeps the voltage on set for bulk charge, So did a test and doesn't matter what i do the float setting does not work they can delete it from inverter. Did the 28.2v float and 28.,2v bulk, the inverter charge light keeps blinking say the batteries is charging but no amps to battery so it is must be floating on bulk volts? Is it safe to set the inverter to 28.2 volts bulk charge and leave it, as there is no more amp going to batterie pack. Tested it and if i disconnected the batterie the volts sit at 27.0v and that is fine for me for loadshedding difference is only minus 0.5volts as the battery suppose to float at 27.5. The float suppose to be on 27.5 but will be now on 28.2v as i set it so that is 0.7v difference. Is it safe to leave it at that volts?

It is ok at 28.2v if the battery doesn't accept more amps it is fully charged. You mentioned in a earlier post it was sitting at 29.2v that is default setting for equalize voltage go to pragram 33 and see if it is disabled needs to show    "eds" by default it should be disabled.

DID YOU SET

32 bulk charge from default to 5min

Yes does nothing, set it to 5 to 10min and 60min as recommended by the battery book. That num 32 setting is only to stop the bulk charge within that time. But on this inverter it does not work it is like it is on auto like on the gel battery setting.

Best then is return it back to the supplier as it should not stay in bulk.

Hi Thanks for the all the help, got the inverter to go into float stage. i set the float and bulk on what i had it on the gel 27.1 for float and bulk  28.2 took 2 hours and boom into float will adjust the setting bit by bit. The bulk time setting is at 5min.Thanks alot for your help.
