Solar Power Production

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Is there a way to see what my total solar production for the day was? Kit: Sunsynk 5kw inverter. I know it will only use what the house is drawing but would be nice to see what the generation was even if it wasn't used.

Cheers,

Kevin

Nope, not from the inverter. When the inverter has no place for the power to go to i.e. battery is fully charged, no grid feed back is allowed and the load is lower than the potential PV production, the Inverter throttles the production from the panels by increasing internal resistance and that production is "lost"

There is no way of knowing what the potential production of the panels would be apart from perhaps using either Solcast or the built in solar forecaster in Home Assistant which, in my experience in any case,  is remarkably accurate.
