How can I divide my inversor`s MPPTs??

Featured Replies

Im starting in a solar company, and i wanna know how i can divide my modules between my mppts and strings, how can I calculate this? which parameters i have to look at??

You would need to provide a lot more info then members on the forum will be glad to advise :)

Inverter type, model, specs
Panels type, model, specs and qty.

All the above info will help if you are looking for some decent free advice :)

I know, but i cant just ask u guys on every doubt i have, i wanna know how to do no matter if is a Bedin os Sofar inversor, i wanna look on the datasheet and do the math on my own. I dont know if u guys can indecate some videos or other stuff to study. Sorry about my english, i dont know if u guys can understend me, just let me know :D

You can try this website - it's free and will help you design your systems perfectly.

most important is to balance into the strings—same voltage (wattage) into a strung pair! same amoubt of panels and same facing so you balance into string pairs

mppts you can mix up but string pairs have to be balanced!

Know the basic theory of electrical circuits, understand how to calculate Voltage, Power and current in series and parallel. Ensure that the panel configuration does not exceed the inverter's input specification for maximum Power, Open-circuit Voltage, or short-circuit current. Keep all P,V,I parameter of the string within the normal operating range as per the inverter's spec sheet, even after adjusting for temperature variation as per the panel's spec sheet, and better yet, keep it closer to the nominal values in the middle of the range.

Learn about the earth's spin, tilt and orbit around the sun. Pay attention to the impact of climate in the particular region. Consider the dimensions of the panels  along with the available roof size and orientation. And the customer's intended amount of available battery storage, and energy usage patterns, including whether the system will be grid-tied or not, or if there's a selling agreement.

That's very broadly speaking. It would help if you give a concrete example of a panel and inverter and building you're thinking of using.
