October 22, 20232 yr I recently bought a Must 51.2V 100Ah battery (LP18-4100). It doesn't have an LCD screen, only 6 LEDs showing the SOC and my Axpert 3Kva doesn't have ports to connect to. The battery came with a cable that fits into RS485 and 232 ports on the battery. I have a spare windows tablet that I would like to use to see the battery data, but this only has USB ports. I assume one can get a RS485 to USB adapter, but I suppose I would need some type of software too. Anyone got a solution for me, I am rather dof about these things. Thanks

I guess I should have said Axpert 3Kva Plus version, it is definitely a 48V inverter and has been performing without a glitch for about 5 years on my old 2nd hand golf cart batteries. Recently had an 8 day power outage, so bit the bullet and bought lithium. It has been performing well on this battery for a month now, I just want to read the BMS info. Thanks.

October 23, 20232 yr If you can source the correct cable then you can use PBMS Tools to monitor your battery from a laptop or PC. Alternatively a once off license purchase with Solar Assistant could provide you with a good platform to monitor your complete system. Whether SA supports both your products at this stage I don't know. But drop them a mail and see if they do. [email protected] The SA solution will be an additional expense as it requires a Raspberry Pi and the once of license.
October 23, 20232 yr Author @zsde, thanks, that's what I wanted to hear. I will look up PBMS Tools. The battery came with a cable marked Inverter on one side and battery on the other. I think they are RJ45 plugs. I'm assuming (maybe incorrectly) that I can get an adapter from RJ45 to USB for my laptop. My inverter only has one port, which looks like a printer socket, I believe it is USB, but I have never managed to communicate with it. @Scorp and @TaliaB, you are correct, I could have explained better, just didn't think it was necessary, apologies.
November 17, 20232 yr Author Hi Andrew, not yet. I downloaded PBMS Tools as per @zsde recommendations, but have not sourced a RS485 to USB adapter yet. They are available, it seems, but the postage is more than double the cost of the product, so on hold till I can make a plan. I assume you have the same battery?
