November 2, 20232 yr I was just gifted on of these little guys. Not sure what I will use him for yet, i was thinking of maybe popping it behind one of the switches for an outside light so i can automate when it comes on and off. But before I call out an electrician, would it work in this setup. i "think" that black wire is a neutral..... but it goes somewhere I am not sure

Also if the APP has the lights on then switching the light off will have no affect. Having LS and the R4 does not have power or Internet then no operation.
November 2, 20232 yr Author what sort of box? i can confirm I have the correct neutral. So i guess i just cut and use those 2 ends for the sonoff. then just wire like normal. switche goes into sonoff. and the Hot + Load also goes into sonoff
