Hi,

I'm new to this forum (but not new to Solar) - nice to join up.

I have been using Solar on top of my bush waggon - I go into remote areas for long periods without the need for additional power, works like a charm.   i have been using three batteries (two of them LiFePO4 which are alternated using battery analysis to prolong life and maximise charging - will share my thinking and diagrams later.

With load shedding and Eskom expected price hikes I need to go off-grid - I think the time is coming where the investment makes sense.  Also, ordered a Tesla Model 3 about a year ago, so I plan to charge the vehicle (once I eventually get it) using solar, so advance planning needed.

Will chat later,

Hans.

enjoying my Boxer Engine Subaru

I've always had a bit of a liking for the scoobies even if I've never owned one. From what I hear though... they aren't as rock-solid as their other Japanese counterparts... they do cost a bit to own.
