February 18, 20242 yr Hi Forum, I need to add extra solar pv capacity to my existing system. Installed 14x325Wp panels in 2016. 2x strings of 8 and 6. As this Wp is not available anymore I was thinking to add a seperate mppt controller, with 3x500Wp, hooking it up to same BlueNova battery bank. Any comments or other suggestions please? thank you
February 18, 20242 yr Typical question here, to please describe your system fully. Specific inverter model, panel model or specs, amount of battery capacity, and model or specs of the battery. Also, orientation of existing panels, and available space on the roof. All these can affect the best solution.

I could be wrong but think if you are already close to the maximum current that the BMS will allow one might not be able to use the power from the micro inverter as it seems the OP would like to achieve. If the micro inverter was used for non essential or load 1st I think it would be the way to go. Details requested from @GreenFields is the only way to go.
