Solar panels

Featured Replies

Hi there.

I am looking for a reputable dealer in Pretoria that sells 330w Canadian solar panels.

I want to purchase one panel a month to grow my system.

I saw a lot of Facebook warriors that advertise Canadian solar panels for R1850 but as soon as you make contact the hide like cockroaches from the light.

Try Rubicon.

Black Friday/Cyber Monday

As good as those deals are, and there are very good deals, there is also a trick being pulled by with some retailers.

Friends of mine wanted to get a smart TV, a big one, no rush, so they started around for prices over 3-4 months, they knew what they wanted. The knew Black Friday was coming.

Yet slowly they saw the price increasing, they thought that was normal.

Black Friday hits, and guess what(!?) ... price back to the same as 3-4 back.

That price continued after Black Friday for a couple of months.

Bottom line, know your prices before Black Friday, that is where the real big bargains lie.

Like solar panels, I would guess, to move stock before Dec holidays.

I hear you, ...

@Krokkedil

Where I bought from are out of stock for 300W+ panels at the moment, but their 330W was R1879.

Their 60 cell 280W is in stock though at

R1,432.90 Incl. VAT (R1,246.00 excl. VAT)

Which is actually a better per watt price.

Gmpf ... today you guys got it so easy.

Back in the days when I started looking they where R32.50 - R35.00 per watt.
3-4 years later my first panels, going rates where between R12.50 - R17.50 per watt depending where you shop, got mine R 10.00 per watt - Grade B (or some such. Some scuff marks on frame with fully rated power) ... now that was a BARGAIN!
2nd batch a year later for R8.50 per watt.

Those where the good old days. 😋

Sold them all recently for R2.00 per watt.

Look on the bright side, electricity was fives cheaper too, you can rest easier knowing you were a visionary.

Hi there. if i purchase the 280w panels will that not reduce my string rating to 280W. I have 2 330w canadian solar panels and want to add another.

I want to build strings with 3 panels.

Please send the details of the shop.

Yes I wouldn't mismatch things if I could avoid it.

Artsolar is the manufacturer in Pinetown.
