MichaelP Posted April 6, 2024 Posted April 6, 2024 (edited) Item: Averge CH48100 LFeLi 48v 100ah Age: 4 years Price: SOLD Payment Method Accepted: EFT Warranty: As Is Packaging: Non-original box Condition: Good Location: Randburg, Johannesburg Reason: Upgraded Shipping: No Collection: Yes Link: Averge's website no longer has the exact datasheet, this is the closest I could find: https://www.ecohub.co.za/media/brochures/Averge-Technologies-Lithium-Battery-SpecSheet2.pdf I'm selling my old work-horse battery, it has been going strong for all the time I've had it and never had an issue with it. I can provide any info needed on the battery, just ask. Cycles done: 1510 Capacity Remaining: 90ah From the pics below you can see that it doesnt have any errors and is operating normally. It was charged with quite a high float voltage so that's why you see the Over Voltage Protection activated 9999 times, but this doesnt affect the battery in any way. I also have data from SolarAssistant from the last 6 months showing that the battery was not drained all the way to 0% and was charged and discharged normally. Yellow Measure Posted April 8, 2024 Posted April 8, 2024 (edited) Where was this battery purchased from? There were stories in the media of Averge batteries being stolen from MNOs, and a video at the time where the CEO stated that they do not sell their batteries to the retail market at all. TaliaB Posted April 8, 2024 Posted April 8, 2024 (edited) I think that might have changed i see there is quite a few companies now selling Averge. Seems like solid batteries judging by the the cycle count of up to 16000 but then at 95% https://www.ecohub.co.za/shop/solar-power/lithium-batteries/averge-lithium-ion-battery-4-8kwh-details?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwiMmwBhDmARIsABeQ7xR-hsZ6-PWkvmlQIQpo9S8V-QfCBik_UZ1-iRAzlwJ864Dxc1EdeYkaAn02EALw_wcB Edited April 8, 2024 by TaliaB Quote

It was purchased from Elite Energy Solutions (https://www.eliteenergy.co.za/) - I also ran into this issue when I called Averge for support once, they asked for the serial number on the top and then they were satisfied with that. I asked Chris at Elite why they were so cagey about their batteries and he told me of the stolen battery issue, but Elite got this battery either directly from Averge or via Rubicon. You can confirm with Chris if you like. Yellow Measure 1 Quote
Scorp007 Posted April 8, 2024 Posted April 8, 2024 AFAIR the make that was never sold to the public was not Averge but LEOCH. It just happens that Averge is a major seller of Leoch. This was only Leoch lithium. At the same time of the Carte Blanche program there were already legitimate Leoch lithiums sold in the market contrary to what the local CEO said that they are only sold to cell companies. 0012 Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 You mentioned it was charged at high float voltage, what was the exact float voltage setting? Quote
MichaelP Posted June 7, 2024 Author Posted June 7, 2024 The battery was bought new by my boss and when he sold it on to me it already had those 9999 readings so I'm not sure what settings his inverter was using. But when I had it installed for a few years, I found a screenshot of WatchPower with the settings: I also found a screenshot of the original specification sheet: 0012 1 Quote
