April 9, 20242 yr So I've been running with my RCT Axpert MKS-5000 for at least 7 years now. I've been thinking of a slight upgrade to basically allow installation of more panels, get some more available kW for running the house, and some QoL features wouldn't go amiss. I saw the Kodak 6.2kW (OG-PLUS6.2) on the PowerStore which I think fits the bill. Anyone have any experience with these? Are they basically just fancier newer Axperts, or are they different animals entirely? Any feedback would be appreciated.

You might find such at Herholds. That would also double the pv capacity.

I'd rather not pair such an old inverter with a "new" one, and highly doubtful I'd find the same exact same model to do so. Space is also a limiting factor as I cannot fit two side by side with appropriate spacings between. Is your advice based on any inherent problems with the Kodak?

If you just want to add an inverter that you cannot parallel with existing in any case my call will be the Luxpower SNA. Then you can add a 2nd one in parallel and sell your current trusty RCT. I just think the Luxpower is great value at the R11000 price.
April 9, 20242 yr Have fitted 12 Kodak OG 7.2 inverters. All 100% successful and reliable I like the fact that you can operate it during the day as Solar output first during the day and Utility at night
