May 16, 20242 yr Off course. SolarPower,SolarPowerPro,SNMP-Card,etc. rely on data queried from the inverter. If these values are wrong, everything will show wrong data.
May 18, 20242 yr Author @riogrande75 Just updated the firmware with the one you supplied. Here's output on screen using Up/Down buttons: u1 20-04-02 b1 values on left column: 470 260 50 bottom right: 000111 Note that on SNMP Web: its still showing previous firmware version 00001.01 On LCD, the generation data was Not reset - I've read in other forum posts that generation data is lost after firmware update. SNMP web is also still showing inaccurate generation data and fluke generation data is still being generated (its about midnight here). Is there a way to delete all previous generation data in the inverter?
May 19, 20242 yr No, I'm not aware of any reset/clear command for generation stats. So you still get pv power at night? Can you make a SolarPower Debug-Log for 5 minutes at night?
May 19, 20242 yr Author Today I compared energy generation during peak hours between Solar Assistant - Utility Meter - Inverter. Solar assistant is very close to the meter reading but inverter is way off. SNMP card isn't currently accessible. Last night I reset it using the jumper on the card, but I didn't unplug the ethernet cable while removing and reinserting the card - I think that fried the router connected with SNMP card, so need to arrange another one. I was hoping for firmware update to resolve the issue but that didn't work, so I guess its not worth it at this point, since I'll most likely replace the inverter soon anyways. The only thing I can think of is that there's probably lot of dust buildup inside the inverter and that might be throwing off some sensor, but that doesn't explain why solar assistant is able to get accurate readings. I'm surprised there's no way to reset energy generation data in the inverter. What if someone buys it used or in my case getting erroneous readings, no way to reset the inverter so to speak. May 19, 20242 yr Just as I noted, create a log for some minutes with SolarPower. Then we'll see, where the problem is located. This should be a very easy task imho.
May 19, 20242 yr Author One thing I've noticed is that inverter ran noticeably cooler today. Max temp didn't even hit 60c. Although earlier it would be above 60c (peaked at 63c) for 4-5 hours per day. Today was hot & dry just like past few days, but inverter max was 58c (mostly around 56-57c). Not sure if newer firmware is de-rating the inverter because I'm seeing pretty much similar generation so far. Generation (in yellow) Edited May 19, 20242 yr by LionKing
May 19, 20242 yr Author Fans are noticeably louder today as well, so seems like they've increased fan speed to bring temps below 60c, rather than de-rating the inverter. Is there a way you can find out if power generation data can be completely reset? Edited May 19, 20242 yr by LionKing
May 20, 20242 yr Off course, higher cooling can only be reached by increasing fan speed. Here a link to actual protocol description of most infini commands. Maybe you'll find a command that let's you "reset" what you want.
May 25, 20242 yr Author UPDATE: Inverter seems to be working fine now - from past couple of days its been reporting accurate generation figures. Seems like new firmware took a while to take affect in calculating energy totals. Edited May 26, 20242 yr by LionKing
