Voltronic Infini 10KW reporting incorrect generation figure

Recently upgraded the system to 13KW PV input. Now Infini 10KW is reporting much higher generation than expected (by around 10kwh per day additional) than solar-assistant. Interestingly, Inverter lcd display and SNMP Web Card, both are displaying this wrong higher number. I know inverter is wrong because, even pvwatts figure is closer to what solar-assistant is reporting. Is there a setting that needs to be adjusted or is inverter being overloaded that's why its showing incorrect generation figures?

How do the different kWh measurements compare to the Utility meter?

Haven't really compared yet, because we have Split ACs connected to the same grid/utility meter that inverter is pushing excess energy to, and ACs end up consuming  much of the energy. So the number on grid meter won't really be useful unless we run an entire day without ACs - which isn't really possible in current hot weather. My family are gonna kick me out :)

One thing I just remembered is that with original installation we had a single PV string of 5KW - back then the Inverter, SNMP web card and Solar Assistant all displayed same values. Another reason why I'm confused is because Solar Assistant pulls data from inverter, so how come its reporting different data (seemingly more accurate) than inverter?

Your point that SA gets it's info from the inverter there must be some glitch causing this difference. 

I was thinking if your loads are off for about 6min bring 0.1 of a hour you could see what power was exported at the power meter and compare it this way.

Update: Its couple of hours after midnight.

Inverter: Today Energy Generated = 33.245

SNMP Web: Today: 7.532

Solar Assistant: 0

All Three have correct date & time set and all three are showing PV voltage 0. Iv been watching these figure for 10 mins and they haven't changed. I'm completely clueless now.

Depending in which area you are in and what the irradiance was for the day one can perhaps do a calculation of the daily yield if the direction and angle is know. The approximate coordinates would help to do the above estimate. 

From the above figures it's clear the yields are way out but no idea what the reasons could be. 

Another way would be to compare the generation at the same time and compare the 3 readings.

Today was cloudy and generation wasn't consistent. I'll see if we get clear sunny day tomorrow and try to compare generation numbers for a specific hour from all three devices and compare it with Utility meter.

What I'm really confused about is why the inverter is showing energy generation at midnight. Is there a possible wiring issue in PV strings?

There were FW versions out there, that had major issues with energy production calculation.

What FW do you run on the inverter (press UP+DOWN, note U1 and U2 date)?

Off course it's still strange, the problem appeared after pv size change.

Old firmware would make sense. I have 2017/2018 model. I just remembered we had the firmware discussion back in January this year: 

Tbh, I chickened out and didn't update the firmware - mainly because my inverter is out of warranty and I wasn't sure if its a clone or 100% genuine. If updating firmware caused any issue with normal working, I'd be stuck with an expensive purchase. Other than generation, are there any benefits of firmware update i.e. added features, fan noise reduction, better MPPT algorithm etc?

I suspect two reasons. First, back then PV size was 5KW (single string), so there wasn't really much generation difference to notice - however, back then I never noticed any generation numbers at midnight so still that's odd.

Second, and this makes more sense to me, is that there is a bug which assumes 1 or 2 string configuration at initial setup and continues storing data that way, so when 2nd PV string was added the data started getting corrupted. That would explain wrong numbers in SNMP web card as well, But accurate numbers in Solar Assistant.

I'd go for the 2020-04-02 firmware. This one is running great on some infini's with similar built date 2017/06 and 2017/07. This is just to exclude any fw issue.
How did you notice that it generates power during nighttime? Did you see that on the display or any other logging? Can you create a SolarPower debug log while you think the values are wrong?

SNMP web card starts showing random generation numbers for the hours, just when new hour starts. E.g. At 12am, it will showed 1.9kwh, which didn't increase during the 12a-12:59a period, but at 1a it started showing 2.5kwh generated for that hour etc. The issue with inverter is a bit complicated, AFAIR, it used to reset Today energy generated at midnight, which it isn't so at 2, 3, 4am in the early morning its still showing yesterday's generation. Then when the PV generation actually starts its counter appears to be running much faster than it should be - compared to Solar Assistant. As a result by the end of the day, Today Energy Generated is around 10kwh higher than Solar Assistant.

Here's today's graph from SNMP, note production somehow started at 12a, but it happened in chunks just when clock turned hour.

Note: Last night, I disconnected Solar Assistant and both strings from Inverter Before midnight - thinking maybe one of these is causing this, but it still happend.

Is the bar chart PV generated? 

I don't really know the SNMP web card very well. If solar-assistant shows correct values (it reads it from the inverter) I expect that the SNMP card causes your troubles.
Dunno if there is a software upgrade available for it as well. But I'd reset it, maybe it didn't note the changes in your pv system.

But, SNMP card alone doesnt explain why inverter is showing higher generation as well

I tried finding an update but couldnt. Any idea where I can find it? Resetting is done using jumper right? Do i have to turn off the inverter or can I just pull out the card with inverter running?

Just pull out the card. It's a simple microcontroller that queries values from the inverter and creates charts from that values.
In fact, all other external products like solar assistant, solarpower, etc. do the same. I even created my own scripts and noticed that there are bugs in the return values within specific fw versions.

Anyhow, I would first upgrade the inverter to latest fw (link posted above). It's pretty unrisky as you can flash any fw over the old one, even when there are problems.
There are no known bugs in this one and you can be sure, that mppt tracking,etc. is up to latest version. BMS support was added as well, what makes me very happy.

Is this the cable I need for firmware upgrade? USB to RS232

USB TO RS232 Converter DB9

HL-340 USB serial Converter also called USB to DB9 or USB to RS232 com port or USB to serial cable.

Got the cable....what are the odds that if my inverter is a clone (non-genuine) that I'd end up bricking it?

Almost very low.
Actually I can't reacall why you think your's is a clone. So far, I never saw any 10K hybrid that was a "clone". Usually they are all from the same factory (voltronic, taiwan) and are just labeled differently. Same hard and software, front cover is coloured like customer wants.

Clones from the axpert's are more common.

But anyhow, even the clones have the same hardware and off course software, so stuff should be compatible.

I keep getting Wrong password message before upgrade, even though I'm using default password 12345678, even tried administrator. Wanted to try 123 but there is a min 8 character requirement so ok button doesn't work.
