Stranger
Hi Guys This morning, we hear a beep when the pool kicked on via the timer. I go to look at the inverter and see nothing wrong. We decided to try and repeat the event, so I watched as Swambo turned off the pool and then turned on again. For a second only, I saw Fault 07 flash on the screen and then all back to normal again. This is something new and has not happened before. Fault 07 in my manual states overload by 110 % Could my capacitor on the pool pump be seeing it's last ? 8 years old What could be the cause of this new problem ? Test the pool motor on the grid then you will know if the cap is faulty. Caps can go for many years. My lawn mover is now going for 34yrs. Even with the vibration. What size inverter and size mower you have . 2.2 kw mower will momentarily make a 5 kw give an over load error on start up . Most inverter can handle a spike of up to around 10kw for a second so inverter normally does not shut down with spikes . Could be bad bearing or cap that could be now also on issue . Sorry pool Edited June 11 by GMAC
Stranger
5.5 kw inverter. I have been trying to find out what a 1.1 kw pump will pull on start up but no joy I am just concerned that it does not hurt the inverter. Yes I have grid I Installed Feb 2023 and this is the first time this has happened in 15 months and the pool pump runs daily. Thus we'll inside the max that the inverter will allow provided no other high power loads on or a fridge starting at the same time. It is all a sum of numbers game. Do a physical check on motor and pump by turning the impeller by hand it should be nice and smooth. Stranger, Derek3 and Scorp007

GMAC
If you store chemical in the box with the pump like some do the chemical can damage the bearing of the pump Edited June 11 by GMAC
