March 22, 20197 yr As I see it, these are your options. 1. Trojan flooded lead acid. Needs to be watered. Typically 1600 cycles at 50% DoD. The typical starter kit would be 8 x T105RE, and it's going to set you back 20k to 25k. 2. A good AGM battery. Trojan makes some. Victron does. Ritar too (I think). Around 1200 cycles at 50% DoD. It's going to set you back 16k or more. 3. Lithium Iron Phosphate battery. Significantly more cycle life, significantly higher price too, best price per stored unit. The cycle life is pretty much the most important part.
