November 23, 20241 yr I have three Bluenova BN52V-100-5.2k BP batteries connected to Solar Assistant (and an Axpert Max MKS2-7200 inverter). System is running but SA shows one battery pack and oeports only 200Ah of the 300Ah available. Battery info: Bluenova BN52V-100-5.2k BP (all series 6622) No COMM cable between Inverter and batteries (tried a RS485 with pins 2 and 1 connected to the pins 5 and 3but didn't help) Batteries are connected in parallel using the batteries' CAN ports Batteries' master / slave dip switch settings set to 1 for master, 2 for first slave, 1+2 for second slave) I have reset the batteries following the instructions from Bluenova. SA info: Software version 2024-11-01 Battery type set to User Battery port set to USB Voltronic LIB RS485 When connecting I get the following messages (in order): Connecting address 0 No response Discovered pack 1 No response on address 2 Connected Solar Assistants dashboard shows 200AH for the batteries, and shows data for pack 1 only. I'm not sure if this a battery or a SA problem? Can anyone provide any guidance to get SA to read all three batteries?
November 23, 20241 yr Have you enquired with Solar Assistant whether your batteries are fully supported yet? They do respond rather quickly if you send them a mail. [email protected] Edited November 23, 20241 yr by zsde

[email protected] I sent them a mail on Friday - hoping they'll respond. They list Bluenova on their website and I'm using their recommended BlueNova RS485 cable purchased from their shop.

Finally Averge instructed that all packs must be parallel connected with RS485 and then to my laptop with a RS485/USB adapter. The newest version of the 48100-S battery needs a protocol change to communicate with RS485. Important: set on each pack a different identification address on the dip switches.

I'll try that - I'm sure I have a adaptor in my box of tricks. Do you know what protocol you used? I checked the dipswitch setting with Bluenova and they confirmed they're set correctly. My SA throws an error when trying to connect to the batteries when they were paralleled on the RS485 ports. I can connect with the parallel cables on the CAN ports and the SA-provided cable into the RS485 port, but as mentioned above then it shows only 200AH of the 300AH and data for pack 1 only. I'll try using an adaptor and the RS485 ports. Sidenote: - No response yet from Solar Assistant. - Response from Full Circle is that a BMS comms cable won't work as their FS-7200 (Axpert Max MKS2-7200 inverter) isn't compatible with Bluenova batteries 😕 Edited November 25, 20241 yr by Davy

I have the switches set as follows per the Bluenova guide and confirmed with a call to Bluenova support. Master battery: 1 on. 2-6 off Battery 2: 2 on. 1, 3,4,5,6 off Battery 3: 1 and 2 on. 3-6 off If yours are different please let me know!

I do have spare RS485 adapters as they are delivered with each battery pack. You may have one but how to get it to you without the Post functioning?
