  1. I bought the wrong busbar on FB. Brand new unused. Single 30x10x270mm bar Apparently 800a
  2. Item: Volta Pro Stage 1 battery (5.32kWh 104Ah LifePo4). You can see details and download the datasheet at energytechstore Age: June 2024 Price: R10k I am in Buccleuch, Joburg. Reason for selling: I bought the battery to add to my existing string of Volta Stage 1s, but unfortunately Volta's Pro series does not parallel with non-Pro Voltas. Battery is at Volta Energy (the distributors) for testing . They report that it is in good condition, and lightly used with 255 cycles. I will post the report when I collect the battery.
  3. While Solar Tech were helpful they would not give me the upgrade software and firmware as I'm not an installer.
  4. Hi Morne. That's great and my bank manager will be pleased with the price :-) I'm in Joburg and can drive through one evening or this weekend. Send me yr number and we can make a plan. My number is 0842078148. Thanks, Davy
  5. Hi Morne. Let me know what price you're looking at and where you're based. Cheers Davy
  6. Hi Coulomb The other readings for battery and grid voltage etc are correct. It's only the cell temps that were wonky (plus the tripping with no fault shown on the display). I swopped out the Max 7.2 with an Max 8 (same panels, connections, cables batteries, SolarAssistant running on Pi and power supply). Solar Assistant now reports normal values for the battery, and so far no trips.
  7. Thank you @Coulomb . Could the -12v power supply also be the cause of the tripping? I'll check out the repair thread and if it's beyond my ability will take it in for repair.
  8. My Axpert 7.2 Max is tripping and immediately restarting, and does not show a fault. I have two strings of panels that are within the inverter's two MPPT ranges. If I disconnect one string of panels the tripping stops. - String 1: 6x550W / 6s1p / 3300W / 324v - String 2: 4x550W / 4s1p / 2200W / 242v The tripping is accompanied by Solar Assistant showing crazy high peaks in PV power output. On a side note that may be unrelated, Solar Assistant is also reporting ridiculously high battery cell temperatures like >3000 degrees. I have switched the inverter with another one that so far is working perfectly and reporting correct temps. Any ideas?
  9. Update - I took my battery to https://voltaenergy.co.za/ - their distribution/repair centre in Pretoria is Solar Tech Wholesalers. They checked and advised that the BMS was broken. Left it with them for a R3450 replacement BMS. They will also send me the Volta BMS software and latest firmware so I can update my other two batteries. Thanks to @Demo and @I84RiS for your help. BTW there was no reset button hidden in the cutout and the battery can only be reset via the software.
  10. Anyone have one or two Bluenova RacPower 52V-100Ah-5.2k BP batteries for sale? I want to add a couple of batteries to an existing installation. Thanks, Davy
  11. Thanks Demo. I bought it 2nd hand. Hopefully that was not a bad decision. Do you or anyone know how to contact the importers/distributor/service centre? Is it these guys https://voltaenergy.co.za/ ?
  12. Tried that without luck 😞 Hard to see inside the tiny cutout but it looks like the internal switch is bent over/damaged.
  13. My Volta stage 1 battery has a cutout for a reset button, but pressing what appears to be the switch inside the cutout does nothing. Any advice? Reason for wanting to reset the battery: the lights reflects that the battery is fully charged but it doesn't discharge when load is applied. Many thanks, Davy (based in Joburg)
  14. Old thread but I just found this link to download PBmsTools V.2.5 – (separate links for RS232 and RS485) https://www.solarpower24.it/download-manuals-and-software-link/?lang=en
  15. I have the switches set as follows per the Bluenova guide and confirmed with a call to Bluenova support. Master battery: 1 on. 2-6 off Battery 2: 2 on. 1, 3,4,5,6 off Battery 3: 1 and 2 on. 3-6 off If yours are different please let me know!
  16. I'll try that - I'm sure I have a adaptor in my box of tricks. Do you know what protocol you used? I checked the dipswitch setting with Bluenova and they confirmed they're set correctly. My SA throws an error when trying to connect to the batteries when they were paralleled on the RS485 ports. I can connect with the parallel cables on the CAN ports and the SA-provided cable into the RS485 port, but as mentioned above then it shows only 200AH of the 300AH and data for pack 1 only. I'll try using an adaptor and the RS485 ports. Sidenote: - No response yet from Solar Assistant. - Response from Full Circle is that a BMS comms cable won't work as their FS-7200 (Axpert Max MKS2-7200 inverter) isn't compatible with Bluenova batteries 😕
  17. I sent them a mail on Friday - hoping they'll respond. They list Bluenova on their website and I'm using their recommended BlueNova RS485 cable purchased from their shop.
  18. I have three Bluenova BN52V-100-5.2k BP batteries connected to Solar Assistant (and an Axpert Max MKS2-7200 inverter). System is running but SA shows one battery pack and oeports only 200Ah of the 300Ah available. Battery info: Bluenova BN52V-100-5.2k BP (all series 6622) No COMM cable between Inverter and batteries (tried a RS485 with pins 2 and 1 connected to the pins 5 and 3but didn't help) Batteries are connected in parallel using the batteries' CAN ports Batteries' master / slave dip switch settings set to 1 for master, 2 for first slave, 1+2 for second slave) I have reset the batteries following the instructions from Bluenova. SA info: Software version 2024-11-01 Battery type set to User Battery port set to USB Voltronic LIB RS485 When connecting I get the following messages (in order): Connecting address 0 No response Discovered pack 1 No response on address 2 Connected Solar Assistants dashboard shows 200AH for the batteries, and shows data for pack 1 only. I'm not sure if this a battery or a SA problem? Can anyone provide any guidance to get SA to read all three batteries?
  19. I just realised mine is a 48/5000 and this one is the 3000 so it won't work for me. @Czauto you're welcome to 🙂
  20. Hi Paul Can I have the Victron? I have the same one and yours would be great for spares. Thanks, Davy
  21. Davy replied to markus_m2's topic in Classifieds
Hi Markus - can I jump in and take this?
  22. Hi Henk - sent you a dm
  23. If this is still available please let me know on 0h eight 4 207 8148. Keen to use it to set up Home Assistant
