Cabling requirements

Recommended Posts

So... Noob question,

  • What gauge cabling should I look at running from a solar setup of say 9-12 panels on the roof to the inverter
  • What gauge cabling should I look at running from a Pylontech 3500w battery to a inverter
  • What gauge cabling should I look at running from a (4 x 12V @ 120Ah) x 2 parallel battery setup, assuming guessing if this went 3x the cable will stay the same as the Amp does not increase, just the amount of time they can sustain the load.

Fuses, 1 per 4x12 set, aka 2?

What else. Trying to figure out what all the bits could be should I decide to buy and provide everything to a Sparky to install?

Pylontech supplied the cable with the batteries when I got mine. Their connections are propriety. First time I came across it.

do you have one or 2?

The cables they supply, thats from Battery to Inverter, what Inverter you got,

They only supply cables from battery to battery. You get a pair (+/-) with every battery you buy from pylon. it comes in the box.

Battery to inverter you need to source. I got mine from inverter warehouse ... i cant recall the price though ... but it was fairly cheap-ish.
