April 2, 20251 yr Hi All,I have a Sunsynk 5KW inverter paired with a Hubble AM2 battery. Around two weeks ago had a major area outage and house was running on battery, power went off and I thought the battery hit 20%, but looking at inverter the SOC was 35% and Battery ALM flashing red. Charged unit when power came back and tested to see how low SOC will go, will not go lower than 28-30%.I disconnected load, pressed battery reset, reboot system ( as per guidelines but same results ) Just tried again today by setting system to 20% SOC and got to 28% and stopped running on battery. Inverter( COMM:E426 – MCU:3381-1515 ), Kit was installed May 2023.Any advice?Thanks,Kevin
April 2, 20251 yr You would need PBMS tools to see the reason for the battery shut down.It could be a Under Voltage protection of one of the cells that causes it.Without being able to see these details it is hard to guess the reason
April 4, 20251 yr Author Got the cable, Hubble support checked and the one cel (Cel 8) was low, difference was around 90mv Unit handed in at Hubble support. ( unit around 18 months old )
April 4, 20251 yr Mmmm.. 90mW difference by itself shouldn't shut down a battery. Can't remember if the BMS has a specific Alarm/Shutdown for Diff Voltage parameter, more likely that cell 8's Cell Voltage has gone down below the UCV (Under Cell Voltage) limit, and triggers a shutdown.
April 4, 20251 yr Author Unsure, battery alarm kept going off as soon as SOC hits 32-28%.Hope it's something that will be covered under warranty. Will post outcome as soon as I know more

( unit around 18 months old )90mV can easily happen while the battery is charging or discharging. Having current in and out makes the delta quite a bit higher.
