May 14, 20251 yr Hi Guys I have these connectors - round - for my PV cables that were supplied with my Mecer Inverter. Outer Diameter is almost 5mm and inner is 3mmAny idea what crimper is used for a Decent crimp ??
May 14, 20251 yr Also ran into this a long time back.If not mistaken they are meant to soldered onto the cable as per the supplier which decided to supply solder rather than the crimp on type.rather get the crimp type.
May 15, 20251 yr Hi you need to get a proper crimper that is used for this application, do not take chances with this.I bought a crimper set from regal security a while ago when they had a special on it , you would have to check if they have stock.CheersSean
October 20, 2025Oct 20 When I was involved in electronic design, gold plating edge connectors was the standard as it is much more corrosion resistant and has lower contact resistance. And that was for indoor use.Does anyone know if there is a supplier who sells gold plated mc4 crimp connectors?
