Shared borehole between neighbours - separate tanks and booster pumps
Hi Would it not be a simpler solution to have a third elevated tank which is above the level of the existing 2 tanks used as a control tank to feed both tanks? Each of the two tanks each have a ball valve to prevent overflow and the switch that controls the pump installed in the elevated tank. That way you also have added capacity. Cheers

Can I AC Couple two Deye inverters?
Hi I am not a sparky so cannot offer advice of a technical nature, to get away from the complexity of trying to get it work as you have tried, would it not be easier to use your supply from the 8kw inv to a change over switch in the w/shop so that when solar power is low you can bypass certain equipment in the work shop to draw from the 8kw system instead of the 16kw system? Just a thought, may work may not. Good luck

Which LiFePO4 battery?
Hi from personal experience I recommend that you do not even consider cfe batteries. See posts on this forum re cfe batteries. Went for a greenrich battery after waiting 3 months without a battery. Good luck with your search

Raystech batteries good or not? Any reviews?
Hi If raystech is is a rebadged cfe then do not even consider it. Rather go greenrich, been there paid the school fees

48v battery choices nowadays
What ever you decide, stay the F@@k away from cfe batteries I bought a luxpower sna 5000 and 1 crap for ever battery. Battery did not even do one cycle and showed me the middle finger. Returned to supplier and 3 months later eventually was told they are going to replace it. I gave them 2 options, my money back or a greenrich battery. They opted for the latter. I also contacted the importers and spoke to Owen for all of 3 minutes and half into that I could hear that he did not give a shit about coming to the party. So much for the 10 year warranty. Do not underestimate the importance of after sales support, I did get sorted, but 3 months waiting time = bullshit !!

Nemtek Druid Fence Voltage bad
Just reread your 1st post re #4 Try disconnecting your ht lead out and return at the fence and then connect them together and the see if your unit then shows good status. If not then it may be your unit at fault.

Nemtek Druid Fence Voltage bad
Hi What you could also try is measure your volts at the point on the fence where your ht out from the energiser connects. follow that line all the way to the end and see if the voltage drops, if not go to the next live wire and do the same. Something to check too, as the photo of a previous post above of the bobbin, with age the tab that keeps the wire on the bobbin can break and the wire may then rest on the pole/round bar or what is applicable, and this can be difficult to spot unless you pay close attention when inspecting the fence. Also if I am not mistaken, it looks like your ht cable is stranded. I have found that to be useless in the long term as the wire degrades. I have replaced it with solid core ht when that occurs. Hope this helps Cheers Sean

Car / Tractor Battery Solar Charging
Hi Do you disconnect the battery when not in use? I had the same issue when I used to work on a farm and installed a cutout switch to reduce the rate of discharge. This helped provided the tractor was not idle for any lengthy periods. Cheers Sean

Converting a wind pump to a wind generator
Hiya Rob How is windy corner treating you? Your question on replacing blades on a windmill with solar panels, how would you transfer the power from the panels to the system? Also depending on wind direction your panels may not be facing the desired direction for best production of energy. Chances of the panels surviving in such a setup ?? Cheers Sean Ficksburg
