Hi From what I have read on this forum, having a 5kw inverter the ideal match would be having 10kwh of battery capacity, so what you have would be ideal in that respect. If you can keep those and add solar panels later. Is that a sna 5000 or lxp inverter? Reason I ask is with respect to cooling of the equipment as it looks like you have it mounted in a cupboard. If you have not already done so consider adding fans to move air through that space to keep it cool. Also are those batteries .5c, if so more reason to keep the 2 of them. Cheers Sean

Hi entry level luxpower sna 5000 is approx 13 to 14k and lxp 5kw is approx 23 to 24k, so 2 lxp would be closer to the 10kw price cheers Sean

Hi I was also interested in one of these, contacted a company in Bloemfontein to try and get more tech specs of the unit and they could not be bothered to get back to me. Phoned Ellies and spoke to a lady there, she mentioned that there were some issues with the firmware and were not on the market yet, this was in oct last year. Not sure if that has been sorted. If you use a separate charger for that battery, you may have to disconnect your existing battery.

Hi I looked at some mounting specs for installing solar panels and 115mm gap between the panels and roof was advised for cooling of the panels. Are you not going to have an issue with cooling of your panels being that close to your roof? Other than that good work on your installation. Cheers
