Victron Easy Solar 2- SOLD

Featured Replies

Good day,

I have a Victron Easy Solar 2 3000kVA unit for sale. I used it for back up power during loadshedding. Only problem is, the MPPT is not working. Otherwise it works perfect. R6000.

Based, Pretoria East.

Hi @TaliaB am not too familiar with Victron, but just a thought, is one able to use an external MPPT and bypass the internal one and still get this to work as a work-around?

Hi Moffat,

I spoke to a sales person who is big in this industry. He said just buy Victron MPPT. Then all sorted. I used this unit with a Blunova battery for only backup during loadshedding. Was fortunate to buy a house with a complete solar system. Reason for the sale.

Regards

@Moffat as the saying goes better late than never as for my reply. Bought the easysolar inverter and instead of bypassing the mppt integrated into the GX system i replaced the 250/70 mppt with a 150/35 mppt as i don't need all the solar power and the cost of the 250/70 is quite high. The 150/35 is integrated into the gx system and works perfectly as it should.

@TaliaB you owe me an inverter and I'll buy the beer or brewery hehehehe. Looks nice your setup. Takes me to the good old first question all installers and resellers MUST ask a client, "What do you want your system to do or run?". But alas some resellers just look to sell and not give value. Enjoy your new tools.
