I currenlty have 7 batteries ECCO 5120wh in parallel as below with firmware versionsP16S150A-31450-1.03 Master 1 2023P16S150A-31450-1.04A Slave 2 2024P16S150A-31450-1.03 Slave 3 2023P16S150A-31450-1.03 Slave 4 2023P16S150A-31450-1.03 Slave 5 2023P16S150A-31450-1.03 Slave 6 2023P16S150A-31509-1.02 Slave 7 2024 Wall MountThe 5 2023 batteries have the same firmware and they work perfectly. The 2 ones with the different firmware are only discharging when the others have reached a certain SOCI would like to update all the batteries to the same firmware if possible.I have searched all over for P165150A firmware but can't find anyThere are lots of P165100A and P165200AI would really appreciate any assistance as currently the 2 newer batteries are not doing anything or very little and the 5 older batteries are always working

Firmware must match the exact model/serial/hardware, and wrong firmware can brick the BMS. Contact your battery supplier or your installer for the correct firmware, or use the official upgrade pathway in the Pace BMS app/PC tool to make sure all packs get the same version. Attempting to use random .bin files from forums is very high risk.

I could care about bricking a BMS as the two batteries are useless to me even if I switch off the 5 batteries with the same firmware only one of the other batteries start discharging the other one does not so basically I have 3 different types of batteries yet their make and capacities are exactly the same. I have been a Software Engineer for the last 25 years and before that I was a Mechanical Engineer with my installation electrician license so the upgrade is no issue as long as I can get the right bin file. January 9Jan 9 This won't help your predicament, but this is one of the big gaps in our country's regulations regarding the import, distribution and sales of products, where none of the entities involved in that supply chain take any responsibility to support the product.With solar batteries it has become really apparent.There are so many brands at reasonable prices and all of them have mostly reliable cells and BMS. But once sold, there is no one to be found in SA that takes responsibility to support the product. Ecco, Fivestar and so many others. They will be there with a big stick when it comes to installation and are even quicker to point out their fine print, and the resellers are the ones acting on the distributer's/importer's behalf, but try and contact them via the reseller for a simple request like the Firmware and suddenly they seem to be a virtual entity.These rebranded products should at least state the OEM, then one can go directly to the support of the OEM, but without regulation that won't happen. When will the day come where such products are supported like the PC manufacturing industry where you go to the site and download any firmware up to the latest, whether it's Asus, Gigabyte or any of the many others. It's just a sad state when the suppliers sell for profits only and don't give a damn about support. Feel sorry for the independent resellers that end up trying to sort it out. I am actually surprised that these resellers don't check the support capabilities of these companies before going into such resale agreements. Perhaps they should agree on a set of standards before opting to offer such unsupported products.end of rant
January 10Jan 10 Author I got hold of ECCO Solar SA on facebook and sent them the same message as above.At least I got a response from them stating that they will forward my request to their support team so I will hope for the best. Thanks for the assistance
February 12Feb 12 @philip.kruger1 ,Maybe a long shot, but why don't you just swop Master 1 with Slave 2?It's always best practice to use the battery with the latest firmware as a master.
