April 23, 20197 yr Yes ... if the one inverters charging can be switched off or if it is never plugged into Eskom to be able to re-charge.

No, there will possibly be some drawbacks. Some inverters keep track of the state of charge of the battery. You configure them with the total battery capacity and they keep track of charging going in and coming out. I believe the Goodwe can do this. If you connect another load to the battery (any load at all), and your smart SOC-capable inverter doesn't know about it... it's going to get the SOC wrong. The one place where this will actually work okay is a Victron setup with a BMV. The BMV keeps track of the SOC and will see the load of the second inverter. So you could do this with a Multiplus+BMV+(other inverter) setup, but that's really the only one that would work half-seamlessly.
April 24, 20197 yr Yes, you can share a battery between inverters, but I want to caution this: You might run into a ground loop fault between the two inverters. Measure the resistance between each inverter's neutral and different battery terminals, as well as the earth and different battery terminals. If there's any reading other than 0, it could cause a problem
